My holistic health and wellness journey started in 2011, when I moved back to my home town of Cambridge, after living in London for many years. Having always been a keen cook and a lover of entertaining, I decided to turn my passion into a freelance career and felt I would start with learning more about food and nutrition. I'd always been inspired by my parents who are both creative, passionate cooks! They had a large allotment in the garden as well as many fruit trees and always cooked from scratch, therefore instilled a love of healthy nourishing food.

So, where did I start? I decided to study a diploma in nutrition and, shortly after, a course at CNM (college of naturopathic medicine) where I really learned about and started putting into practice living a more holistic life - not only looking at nutrition, but also at skin care (our skin is the biggest organ in our body so will absorb anything you put on it) and living in alignment with my environment, season, hormones and being mindful about what I was exposing my mind to!

I'd had my fair share of minor health issues over the years, largely due to diet and lifestyle choices and the inability to adapt to life's challenges. I just didn't have the 'tools' to be able to cope with stress and by not putting my health first, resulted in 'imbalance' with my physical and mental health.

Mind, body, soul connection is hugely important to be able to achieve 'homeostasis' or BALANCE. What we need from one day to the next will change and we need to be able to adapt to seasonal, lifestyle, hormonal changes as and when they arise.

These days my mental, physical and spiritual health are my number one priority - having spent the last 14 years learning, growing, evolving and continuing every day to do my best and appreciate every moment of this incredible, crazy life - even the times when it feels like there are dark clouds overhead.

Connection is key - I believe community (family and friends) is an essential part of my wellbeing and spending time nurturing those relationships so that we can all support one another when times get rough as well as being champions of each other and sharing in the abundant and prosperous times!

I spent 6 months in India from November 2024  to May 2025 - I'm half Indian and have a very deep connection with India, there's a vibrancy of life and I feel very at home there. Some of that time was spent studying Ayurveda (Life Knowledge/Science) in Kerala and one of the most important things I have now incorporated into my life is a 'daily routine' (Dinacharya in Ayurveda). This has helped me so much and helped me feel more grounded and I'm sleeping better than I ever have.

Routine - having a daily routine has helped me so much in maintaining balance, so no matter what I'm doing or where I am I 'm always up in the morning and in bed in the evening at around the same time (within 1 hour) - of course there are sometimes exceptions. My yoga practice is now part of my daily routine which helps to keep me grounded and I'm able to intuitively adapt my practice to how my mind and body are feeling in order to start the day in the best way for me. Included is self oil massage  (Abyhanga in Ayurveda) which not only helps to lubricate inside and out but keeps me in touch with my body, helping to promote self love and self care.
